Portuguese Coach Decides After Ronaldo Leaves National Team Camp

Portuguese coach has made a decision after Ronaldo left the national team camp.

The Portuguese coach declared he will not apologize to Ronaldo but does not close the door to his return to the national team.

Jorge Jesus, coach of the Portugal national team, stated he has no need to apologize to superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who recently left the national team camp in protest, but he does not rule out the possibility of the 41-year-old forward returning to play for the team. Ultimately, the decision rests with the player himself.

It is understood that Ronaldo decided to withdraw from the Portugal national team camp after being unhappy about not playing in the match against Norway last week and not being named in the starting lineup against Denmark.

Recently, Jesus commented, "For me, Ronaldo can return in the next call-up. Everything is open. If he continues playing for Al Nassr, he is eligible to be called up. If he wants to come back to play for the national team, he can. The decision is his, not mine."

"Ronaldo deserves to end his time with the national team in the way he wants. He is the one who decides how he wants it to be."

"We talked about that. I said, 'I want you' in my first call-up. I said, 'I want you. I want you close to me. Whether you play or not, I want you.' And now I say the same thing."

"I don't know what Ronaldo will decide. I have said what I needed to say. For me, this has never been a problem. Having an icon player like him does not mean that as a coach I have to negotiate differently. Nothing has happened to reduce my credibility from a situation I myself still don't fully understand."

"I have said everything. I am the coach. I can choose whoever I want, and I don't have to ask anyone who I should pick or who should play."

"Now, who should I apologize to, and for what? I don't need to apologize to anyone."
