Leeds Manager Delivers Sharp Remarks After Draw with Manchester United

Leeds manager delivers sharp remarks after drawing with Manchester United.

Leeds manager deeply regrets not beating Manchester United, praising his team's strong performance but noting a lack of finishing precision.

Daniel Farke, manager of Leeds United, said his team should have defeated Manchester United after their 1-1 draw in the English Premier League last night.

At Elland Road, Manchester United took the lead through Bryan Mbeumo in the first half, before Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalized for Leeds in the second half, resulting in a shared point each. However, Farke believes his team deserved all three points.

Farke said, “We feel a bit disappointed to get only one point. Overall, I believe we shouldn’t have been behind at halftime, but this is Manchester United.”

“In the second half, we scored the equalizer and should have held the advantage. There were several shots that went over the bar, but overall it was a strong performance. We should have won this game, but we must keep moving forward.”

“It’s a compliment to say we have done many things right over the past month. If we are seen as favorites to beat Manchester United, then we deserve this victory. We want to prove that compliment is justified.”

“We controlled the game but failed to score more because of a lack of quality in and around the penalty area.”

“This shows the respect we have earned. Overall, this is where we stand right now, and it’s a good place.”

“Picking up points in this league remains tough. You have to be sharp and very efficient, but we must keep pushing forward.”
