Stunned to see Ronaldo’s salary — it takes him less than a minute to pay Portugal’s fine.
On 20 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Cristiano Ronaldo, the 41-year-old top scorer, was revealed to earn his salary at Al Nassr, his current Saudi league club, after the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) announced disciplinary action.
Cristiano Ronaldo was banned for 30 days and fined 255 euros (about 9,606.11 baht) for leaving the Portuguese national team camp last month. This followed his absence in the UEFA Nations League match against Norway and finding out later he would not start in the game against Denmark on 1 Oct.
Ronaldo later explained his withdrawal was because Portugal’s national team coach Jorge Jesus broke his promise twice regarding playing time.
However, the 255-euro fine did not faze Ronaldo, who earns a massive salary with Al Nassr, detailed as follows.
Annual = 208.4 million euros
Monthly = 17.4 million euros
Weekly = 4.0 million euros
Daily = 572,500 euros
Hourly = 23,900 euros
Per minute = 398.59 euros
Per second = 6.63 euros
This means Ronaldo needs only 38.5 seconds on the field to earn enough to pay the fine imposed by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).
The 30-day ban is retroactive from the match against Denmark, meaning Ronaldo has already served 19 days of the suspension and will not miss any future national team matches if recalled.
Portugal will face Denmark again in the UEFA Nations League on 14 Nov 2026 GMT+7, before traveling to Wales on 17 Nov.
