Famous coach has made a decision after rumors linking him with Manchester United.
"Howe" has decided!!! Ready to manage "Man U" if "Carrick" is dismissed—contact can be made immediately.
BBC, a major British media outlet, reported that Eddie Howe, former manager of the "Magpies" Newcastle United, is ready to become the new coach of the "Red Devils" Manchester United if Michael Carrick is removed from his position.
Carrick is under intense pressure after leading the Red Devils to a heavy 1-4 away defeat to Como in the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League group stage latest match, resulting in only two wins from the first eleven games in all competitions this season.
Manchester United currently sits 13th in the Premier League standings and is scheduled to host Bournemouth this Sunday. Although Carrick will continue to manage the team for that match, reports clearly state that Manchester United has already begun searching for Carrick's replacement.
The options left for United now include three candidates: Eddie Howe, Antonio Conte, former Chelsea manager, and Julian Nagelsmann, former Germany national team coach. Meanwhile, Brighton manager Fabian Hertha is not interested in taking the hot seat.
Eddie Howe is fully willing to become Manchester United's new manager if officially contacted. The 48-year-old coach spent five years with Newcastle, leading the Magpies to the UEFA Champions League and winning the Carabao Cup.
Before that, Howe spent over ten years at Bournemouth, helping "The Cherries" become a leading Premier League club.
Alan Shearer, Newcastle's legendary striker, commented on the news: "I've seen reports linking United with Eddie Howe, but Howe wants full control, and I don't know if he'll get that opportunity at Manchester United."
