On 29 October 2026, Arsenal encountered problems ahead of the big Premier League match away at Liverpool. Spanish manager Mikel Arteta revealed that key midfielder Declan Rice is injured, while Riccardo Calafiori and Noni Madueke also remain doubtful before the game at Anfield on Sunday, 1 November.

Rice was substituted during Arsenal's 2-0 win over Everton last weekend and missed the Carabao Cup game where they were upset by League Two side Fleetwood Town in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw. Arteta confirmed the England midfielder has some issues, while Calafiori did not play and Madueke is suffering from an ankle injury.

Additionally, Arsenal have other players who are either ruled out or likely to miss the match, including Bukayo Saka, who has a thigh muscle injury and may need at least six weeks to recover, and William Saliba, who is still rehabilitating after back surgery.

Meanwhile, attacker Christos Solis, injured in the thigh while on international duty, is also a doubt for the team's return in time for the match.

Young prospect Max Dawman, aged 16, also risks missing the game after receiving a red card in the match against Fleetwood Town; he is currently appealing his suspension.

Arsenal is scheduled to visit Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, 1 November 2026, at 23:30 GMT+7.
