What did Jamie Carragher learn? He commented on Michael Carrick after the Manchester United board surprisingly decided not to dismiss him.
On 29 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Jamie Carragher, former Liverpool player and current football pundit, spoke about Michael Carrick after Carrick narrowly escaped being sacked by the Manchester United board in an unbelievable move.
Jamie Carragher said, "I think he can't speak openly to the public, but I believe Michael Carrick wants to end this uncomfortable situation. I really think so. Imagine having to walk into the training ground now, face Bruno Fernandes, and try to motivate the team before facing Chelsea, even though he knows the players don’t accept him at all."
"Those players know Michael Carrick won’t be here in 2-3 weeks. He knows it, the players know it, everyone knows it well, and it’s hard to see how things could get any better."
