Liverpool Smiles as Arsenal Faces Latest Bad News Ahead of Premier League Big Match This Sunday

Liverpool is smiling as Arsenal receives the latest bad news ahead of this Sunday's Premier League big match.

On 30 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Arsenal, currently second in the English Premier League, received bad news ahead of the key Week 9 match visiting Liverpool, ranked fourth, on Sunday, 1 Nov 2026 GMT+7.

Most recently, Max Dowman will be unavailable for 3 matches after Arsenal's appeal against his red card in the Carabao Cup round of 16 loss to Fleetwood Town on Tuesday was rejected.

The 16-year-old winger received a direct red card in the 85th minute after reacting to a hard tackle by Fleetwood's Harrison Neal. Although Dowman did not strike forcefully, his foot made contact with the opponent.

The match ended 1-1, with Fleetwood, a League Two team, winning 5-3 on penalties over the Premier League champions. Arsenal's appeal against Dowman's red card was ultimately unsuccessful.

As a result, Arsenal could be missing a total of seven players due to injuries and suspensions as follows:

Injured- Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, Christos Solis, Declan Rice, Riccardo Calafiori, William Saliba

Suspended- Max Dowman

Looking at the injury list, Arsenal will be without four wingers simultaneously: Saka, Madueke, Solis, and Dowman.

Manager Mikel Arteta is left with only Eberechi Eze in the senior squad who can play as a winger. He may need to promote youth players or reposition other squad members to cope in the upcoming match against Liverpool, as Arsenal aims to compete for the Premier League top spot with Manchester City, who also have 21 points.
