"Iraola has made his decision ahead of Liverpool's Premier League away match at Crystal Palace this Sunday." ,
On 6 November 2026 GMT+7, Andoni Iraola, Liverpool's head coach, spoke at a press conference before the English Premier League 2026-27 season's 10th week match, an away game against Crystal Palace on Sunday, 8 November.
Liverpool, who had previously won five consecutive matches in all competitions, have lost their last two games: a 0-1 home defeat to Arsenal last week in the Premier League, followed by a 2-3 away loss to Fenerbahçe in the UEFA Champions League group stage match 4 on Wednesday.
This prompted Andoni Iraola to urge Liverpool to secure a win in their visit to Crystal Palace to reverse the situation and bring back a positive atmosphere.
The Liverpool coach said, "I think this is the challenge, especially for a club like Liverpool. Last week at the previous press conference, we were still performing well, everything was going smoothly, and the team's atmosphere was good."
"But now, after two consecutive defeats, the situation has changed, which is normal for a club of our level. We now have to respond to these two losses."
"We need to win the away game at Crystal Palace. We've been through similar situations before, both before the international break against Bournemouth and after the game against Brentford. So, we have to go there, do our job well, and get the win back."
Before this match, Liverpool stands 5th in the Premier League table with 15 points, while host Crystal Palace has only 7 points, ranking 18th in the relegation zone.
