Dreams are close to coming true! Jude Bellingham is set to play alongside Jobe after his younger brother was called up to the England senior national team.
Following the news that 21-year-old midfielder Jobe Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund was called up to the England team by coach Thomas Tuchel for the first time in the UEFA Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain, he now has the chance to play alongside his older brother Jude Bellingham, Real Madrid's midfielder, in the senior England squad for the first time.
Two years ago, Jude Bellingham said that playing for England alongside his younger brother Jobe would mean more than any trophy.
“Playing alongside my younger brother for England is the greatest dream of my life. It means more than any trophy. Nothing compares... absolutely nothing,” he said.
That dream is about to come true as both brothers have been called up to the England senior team together for the first time.
Thomas Tuchel spoke about Jobe’s call-up, saying, “Lee Carsley (the England U21 coach) has been talking about Jobe for many weeks and months, saying he deserves a chance if there’s space and opportunity to join the senior squad and impress.”
“He has played well in several matches and is currently in good form with Dortmund, so he deserves to be with us.”
England currently ranks second in Group A3 after four matches, winning three and losing one to Spain at Wembley.
England will host Croatia, whom they defeated 7-0 last month, on Thursday night, 12 Nov 2026 (early Friday morning, 13 Nov) at 02:45 Thai time, before visiting Spain on Sunday night, 15 Nov 2026 (early Monday morning, 16 Nov) at 02:45 Thai time. They need just one point to advance to the knockout stage.
