For those struggling with studying, look at Díaz: Bayern mandates German lessons three times a week, and failing the exam is considered more damaging than receiving an F grade.
On 23 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Luis Díaz, the Colombian national team forward, decided to leave Liverpool and join Bayern Munich with a contract lasting until 2029. The transfer fee including bonuses was 75 million euros, and his weekly salary was increased from £140,000 to £234,000, approximately 267,000 to 270,000 euros per week.
However, the 29-year-old player’s duties extend beyond the field. According to BILD, his contract includes a clause requiring him to attend German language lessons 2–3 times per week, with the club continuously assessing his language progress.
If he fails to comply with these requirements, the club has the right to impose financial penalties by deducting between 5,000 and 50,000 euros from his earnings.
In the current season, Díaz has appeared in 33 matches for Bayern across all competitions, scoring 19 goals and providing 15 assists.
