Maicon Scores Winning Goal for Bayern Reserves, His Second, Amid Manchester United Transfer Rumors

Maicon scores to showcase his talent against Manchester United, netting the winning goal for Bayern Munich's reserve team—their second from him—amid rumors linking him to the Red Devils.

On 6 April 2026, Maicon Cardoso, a 17-year-old rising Brazilian star and fan favorite in Thailand, delivered an outstanding performance in his latest match for Bayern Munich's reserve team (FC Bayern Amateure), a giant in Germany's Bundesliga.

In this match, Maicon Cardoso scored in the 17th minute, securing the winning goal for Bayern's reserves in a 1-0 victory over DJK Vilzing in the German fourth division, Regionalliga Bayern.

This was Maicon Cardoso's second goal for Bayern's reserve team, following his first in a 2-0 win against Augsburg's reserves on 10 March, in which he also played the full 90 minutes, just like in today's match.

Maicon Cardoso's winning goal helped Bayern's reserves remain unbeaten at home for six consecutive games (five wins and one draw) and marked their 12th win this season under coach Holger Seitz. They currently sit sixth in the league standings.

Maicon Cardoso has recently been linked with Manchester United, the top English Premier League club, and was listed among players of interest after earning chances to play for Bayern Munich's first team twice. He came on as a substitute in victories against Gladbach (4-1) and Union Berlin (4-0) in March.
