Looking back to the previous night, Bayern Munich hosted Stuttgart and won 4-2, earning three full points and raising their total to 79 points from 30 matches. This victory confirmed their league championship, as they extended their lead over second-place Borussia Dortmund to 15 points with only four matches remaining, an insurmountable gap.
Maicon Cardoso was given opportunities by Vincent Kompany to play in two official first-team matches. His debut came in the Bundesliga game where Bayern Munich defeated Borussia Mönchengladbach 4-1. He entered the match in the 60th minute, playing roughly the last 30 minutes as a substitute for Konrad Laimer.
In the next match on the night of 21 March, Maicon Cardoso again came on as a substitute under Vincent Kompany’s management. The team won convincingly 4-0 at home against Union Berlin. He replaced Serge Gnabry in the 88th minute of the game.
