Alejandro Garnacho, Chelsea winger, spoke openly before their away match against Arsenal in tonight's decisive Carabao Cup tie.
Alejandro Garnacho, the Argentine international winger for the "Blues" Chelsea, is confident his team can secure an away win against the "Gunners" Arsenal in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final tonight and qualify for the final. He pointed out that since even Manchester United managed to win there, why can't his team do it?
Chelsea lost 2-3 at home to Arsenal in the first leg and need a victory at Emirates Stadium to advance to the final. However, the winger insists that this is not an impossible task.
Garnacho said, “Everyone knows how tough it is to play there. When we lost the first game, I heard many say no one has won at Emirates Stadium yet.”
“But now I think the perspective is a bit different. If Manchester United could beat them there, we can do it too.”
“The goal difference is just one, so if we score one more goal, we will be level with them again.”
“This is our best chance to get closer to a trophy right now, and every trophy is important here. So we have to go there with the right mindset and try to win the game.”
