Pep said, "Winning the trophy is important. It’s special because we have been through a tough period. In the first 15 minutes, they pressured us intensely. After that, we gained control of second balls and began to play. I’m very happy we won because Mikel Arteta has built a team that is nearly unbeatable. Winning the Carabao Cup for the 5th time in 10 years is not bad at all. Every time you win a trophy, it feels harder than before. It’s very difficult for many reasons."
Regarding the Premier League title race, he said, "Honestly, I want to be 9 points ahead in the Premier League, but that’s in their hands. We need time and full rest. I’m very tired, and after that we will take it one game at a time."
Speaking about Neco O'Neill, he said, "He might be the player of the season. At the start of the season, we had long talks with him. He began playing at left-back and impressed greatly. He can play in multiple positions. He is a player in the final third in his preferred position, and he scored two excellent goals."
