Thailand's Theerapat Pruethong made his first start for Sapporo, assisting the winning goal in their J.League 2 victory.
On 21 March 2026, during the seventh round of the 2026 J.League 2 season, another Thai player made a name for himself as Consadole Sapporo hosted Ventforet Kofu at the Sapporo Dome.
In this match, Thai senior national team player Supachok Sarachat started alongside 18-year-old rising star Theerapat Pruethong, who recently joined the Thailand U23 squad preparing for a four-nation tournament in Xi'an, China.
Theerapat Pruethong made an immediate impact by assisting Shuma Kido's winning goal in the 24th minute, helping Consadole Sapporo narrowly defeat Ventforet Kofu 1-0 and secure an important 3 points, bringing their total to 8 points.
Currently, Consadole Sapporo has climbed to 7th place in the Eastern Zone Group B. Theerapat Pruethong played 69 minutes before being substituted for Shingo Omori, while Supachok Sarachat was replaced by Kinglord Safo in the 79th minute.
Theerapat Pruethong is scheduled to join the Thailand U23 national team, reporting on 23 March 2026 to compete in the CFA Team China International Youth Tournament in Xi'an during the March FIFA international break.
