The result saw Bayern Munich thrash Salzburg 5-0. In this match, Maicon Cardoso, the young Brazil-born player with Thai roots, earned his first opportunity with Bayern's first team, coming on as a substitute in the 89th minute.
He did not disappoint, contributing to the team's fifth goal by energetically helping to win back possession before passing to Della Rovere, who set up Luis Díaz to assist Tom Bischof in scoring with a left-footed shot.
Maicon Cardoso grew up in Thailand after his father, Douglas Cardoso, played in the Thai League. Maicon has expressed his desire to play for the Thai national team but faces nationality issues. Currently, he is progressing well at Bayern Munich and has finally received his chance to play with the first team. Although it was late in the game, it was a significant moment for Maicon.
