Chelsea, the "Blue Lions," made an impressive debut under new manager Liam Rosnier by defeating Charlton Athletic to advance to the 4th round of the English FA Cup.
In the English FA Cup 2025-26 third round on Saturday night, 10 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Charlton Athletic hosted Chelsea, known as the "Blue Lions," with new manager Liam Rosnier leading the team for his first match in charge.
Chelsea convincingly defeated Charlton 5-1 to secure a place in the 4th round. Chelsea's goals came from Jorrel Hato in the 45+4 minute, Tosin Adarabioyo in the 50th, Marc Gue in the 62nd, Pedro Neto in the 90+1, and Enzo Fernandez from a penalty at 90+4. Charlton's lone goal was scored by Miles Liverm in the 57th minute.
Chelsea's next match will be against Arsenal in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final on 14 Jan.
