Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, has removed the tattoo bearing the word "DAD," which symbolized his love for his father, underscoring the escalating family rift.
On 6 Feb 2026 GMT+7, after Brooklyn issued a fiery statement fully backing his wife Nicola Peltz and accusing his parents of controlling his life and undermining his happiness for years, he claimed the Beckham family prioritized their "brand image" over their children's feelings. Distancing himself from his parents has reportedly improved his mental health like never before.
Most recently, Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest Beckham son, made the most heartbreaking move in his father-son relationship by removing the tattoo symbolizing David Beckham from his body.
The controversial tattoo was a large anchor on his right upper arm, with a ribbon featuring the word ‘DAD’ and the heartfelt phrase ‘Love you Bust’ (Buster is David's childhood nickname for Brooklyn). The tattoo has been visibly faded by laser treatment to the point of near invisibility.
Media recently observed that Brooklyn covered the 'DAD' word with solid black geometric shapes, completely obscuring it, while the nickname his father used has been faded with laser removal. This is viewed not as a simple tattoo change but as erasing his father's identity from his life. Meanwhile, David Beckham still bears the ‘Buster’ tattoo inked for Brooklyn in 2015 on the right side of his neck.
Additionally, Brooklyn had previously removed the 'Mama's Boy' tattoo referencing Victoria Beckham, covering it with a flower design instead.
