Dembélé Blasts PSG Teammates After Away Defeat to Rennes

Ousmane Dembélé, PSG winger, harshly criticized his teammates after their recent Ligue 1 away loss to Rennes in France.

Ousmane Dembélé, the 2025 Ballon d'Or-winning winger for Paris Saint-Germain, commented that his teammates played selfishly, leading to a 1-3 defeat away to Rennes in Ligue 1 last night. This loss has unsettled their title chase, as PSG now lead second-placed Lens by only two points.

Dembélé said, “We played very badly. Rennes played very well and deserved the victory. I think we need to show much more determination.”

“Above all, we must play for PSG. We have to play to win. If we just play for ourselves, it's impossible. We won't get the championship we want.”

“Last season, we prioritized the club before ourselves. We need to return to that mindset, especially in matches like this.”

“We know we are in the second half of the season, and the club must come first. Not everyone playing selfishly like this.”

Meanwhile, PSG coach Luis Enrique responded to Dembélé by saying, “That interview means nothing to me! I will never allow any player to be above the club.”
