Sydney Sweeney Reveals Why Cristiano Ronaldo Is Her Favorite Footballer

Sydney Sweeney, a famous Hollywood actress, revealed why Cristiano Ronaldo is her favorite football player.

The Daily Mail, a prominent British media outlet, reported that Sydney Sweeney, a 28-year-old well-known Hollywood actress, openly admitted her admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, the 41-year-old Portuguese superstar playing for Al Nassr, a major club in the Saudi Arabian league. She described him as an inspiration if she were a footballer.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is my favorite footballer. I love competition, and if I were a football player, he would be my inspiration."

These remarks sparked numerous comments from football fans online, as it is rare for a top Hollywood star to speak so candidly about the football world.

Ronaldo is regarded as one of the most successful players in football history, having won numerous championships and individual awards with major clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, as well as leading the Portuguese national team to international titles.

A Hollywood actress praising him like this further reinforces Ronaldo’s image as a sports icon whose influence extends far beyond the football pitch.

Sweeney gained recognition with roles in the series Everything Sucks! and Sharp Objects, before rising to fame in the series Euphoria, which premiered in 2019, and The White Lotus, released in 2021.

In Euphoria, she played Cassie Howard, a role that brought her widespread acclaim, especially for provocative scenes that earned praise from critics and audiences alike, leading to a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2022.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 965 career goals so far, with a target of reaching 1,000 goals.

Sporting Lisbon: 5 goals

Manchester United: 145 goals

Real Madrid: 450 goals

Juventus: 101 goals

Al Nassr: 121 goals

Portugal national team: 143 goals
