
Myo Myo Lwin has been suspended from competition for six months and fined 300,000 kyats for pushing a female fan.
On 13 March 2026, the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) announced that former Myanmar national team captain Myo Myo Lwin, who pushed a female fan, has been suspended from competition for six months and fined 300,000 kyats.
The incident occurred after the first half of the match (122) between Yadanarbon and Yangon United at the Thuwunna Stadium on 10 March.
The MFF's Disciplinary and Ethics Committee held a meeting on the afternoon of 12 March regarding the incident, reviewing footage of the Yadanarbon vs. Yangon United match, examining match supervision, and assessing video evidence before making their decision, the federation stated.
Due to his actions exceeding the rules and ethics that players must follow, Myo Myo Lwin is banned from playing or participating in any football-related competition or activity organized by the Myanmar Football Federation and the Myanmar National League for six months starting from 11 March, under Articles 14 and 18 of the MNL I & II regulations for the 2025-26 season. He is also ordered to pay a fine of 300,000 kyats, equivalent to approximately 4,600 Thai baht.
Similarly, the referee of the match, U Jaw Sayar Aung, has also been suspended from officiating for three matches due to neglecting football rules by not issuing a red card to Myo Myo Lwin for the incident, failing to warn the referee and match officials to enforce the laws before the second half, and has been banned from officiating for three matches as well.
The national football association announced that the woman who shouted and insulted the player from the stands is banned from attending international football and futsal matches, and further actions will be taken against her concerning the incident.
