Semenyo Taunts Arsenal After Carabao Cup Win, Boasts of Disrupting Inkapie

Antoine Semenyo, an attacking player for Manchester City's "Sky Blues," taunted Arsenal after winning the Carabao Cup, boasting that he troubled "Inkapie" throughout the game.

On 23 March 2026, Antoine Semenyo, Ghanaian attacker for Manchester City, subtly taunted Arsenal after the 2025-26 Carabao Cup final, in which Manchester City defeated their Premier League title rival Arsenal 2-0 the previous night.

This Carabao Cup victory marks Semenyo's first trophy since joining Pep Guardiola's Manchester City from Bournemouth in January, at age 26.

Throughout the match, Semenyo continuously posed a threat, troubling Inkapie until Mikel Arteta decided to substitute the defender in the 65th minute.

After the game, Semenyo told Sky Sports, teasing Arsenal's defender: "I had complete freedom to play on the wing, do what I wanted, trouble the defenders, and cause problems. I kept making Inkapie chase me nonstop."

Ian Wright, serving as an expert on the show, quickly joked back, "You really messed him up so much he couldn't get settled, mate!"

Semenyo replied, "That's exactly what I did. Once he got a yellow card, he started to back off more, which gave me the chance to dribble past him and break into the penalty area."
