Virgil van Dijk said, "I know we have let ourselves, the manager, and Liverpool fans down. Our performance, especially in the second half, was really poor. That surely causes a lot of pain for everyone, and it is painful for me as well to feel that way."
Additionally, the 34-year-old added, "Mentally, overall this season has been very tough. But we have to take full responsibility—not just for ourselves but for the club and the fans. If we want to succeed this season, we have to strive to do something special in the remaining games."
