Among the three Thai League 1 teams, only 'The Thunder Castle' Buriram United remained unbeaten after a hard-fought 1-1 draw away at Malaysian rivals Johor Darul Ta'zim, despite being reduced to 10 men early in the second half at the 57th minute.
Meanwhile, Ratchaburi FC and Port FC, both making their ACL Elite debuts, failed to earn points. Ratchaburi lost 4-6 at home to Shanghai Port, and Port FC were defeated 1-2 at home by Vissel Kobe.
