Cristiano Ronaldo, forward for Portugal's national team and Al Nassr club in the Saudi Arabian league, confirmed his goal is to reach 1,000 career goals, though he is not obsessed with it because the most important thing besides scoring is helping the team win.
At 41 years old, Ronaldo has currently scored 979 career goals—833 at club level and 146 for Portugal's national team—leaving just 21 goals to reach his 1,000-goal target.
Ronaldo said, "My goal is to achieve both: reaching 1,000 goals and helping the national team win the Nations League. This is a new era with manager Jorge Jesus, whom we know well. I hope everything goes well for him."
