"Newin" has made a decision after Buriram United remains winless in the ACL Elite 2026-27 Eastern Zone.
On 4 Nov 2026 GMT+7, the "Uncle Newin" Facebook page shared the latest remarks from Newin Chidchob, president of Buriram United and a representative from Thai League 1, following the conclusion of the AFC Champions League Elite 2026-27 Eastern Zone league stage matchday 4.
Buriram United, nicknamed the "Thunder Castle," recently changed their coach from Mario Silva to Raul Caneda before drawing 0-0 at home against Japan's J1 League powerhouse Kashima Antlers, leaving them still without a win in the ACL Elite 2026-27.
The current standings in the AFC Champions League Elite 2026-27 Eastern Zone present a tough challenge for Buriram United as they aim to finish in the top 8 to advance. They currently have 3 points, sitting in 12th place, 4 points behind 8th place holders, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.
However, Newin Chidchob issued a motivational message to Buriram United players, saying, "There are still games to fight for, still time to fight, still opportunities to fight. Buriram United fights with all their heart!"
In the ACL Elite 2026-27 fifth matchday for the Eastern Zone, Buriram United will travel to face Shanghai Port of China, who currently have 7 points and rank 5th, with the match scheduled for 24 November.
