Liverpool Misses Victory as Leeds United Equalizes in Injury Time in Premier League Clash

Liverpool, known as the "Reds," missed out on victory after Leeds United equalized during injury time in their latest Premier League match.

In the English Premier League 2025-26 season on Saturday night, 6 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the notable match saw Leeds United, nicknamed the "Peacocks," host Liverpool at Elland Road.

The first half ended goalless. Liverpool had a chance when Curtis Jones' shot struck the crossbar hard. Early in the second half, in the 48th minute, Liverpool took the lead 1-0 after Leeds defender Joe Rodon made a back pass error, allowing Hugo Ekitike to intercept and score.

In the 50th minute, Liverpool extended their lead to 2-0 when Conor Bradley crossed from the right, and Hugo Ekitike volleyed the ball into the net.

Two minutes later, in the 75th minute, Leeds equalized 2-2 when Anton Stach struck a right-footed shot that flew into the net.

In the 80th minute, Liverpool regained the lead 3-2 through a goal by Dominik Szoboszlai. However, in the 6th minute of injury time (90+6), Leeds astonishingly equalized 3-3 with a close-range finish from Ao Tanaka.

The game ended in a 3-3 draw at Elland Road, with both teams sharing one point each. Liverpool remain in 8th place.
