Manager Klopp Praises Liverpool’s Three Players After Win Over Brighton

Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool's manager, shared his thoughts after guiding the team to a win over Brighton in the latest English Premier League fixture.

Jürgen Klopp, the manager of the "Reds" Liverpool, expressed relief after the team’s 2-0 home victory against Brighton in the English Premier League last night. He admitted the team was fortunate not to concede and gave special praise to Ekitiqué, Weatz, and Salah.

“It was a game where we had to work very hard to secure this victory because we faced a very good team that fought until the end. I feel lucky that we didn’t concede, whereas in other games we have conceded three goals despite opponents having fewer chances.”

“I quite like the way we played. Perhaps we deserved a bit of luck because of our strong mentality, along with injuries and various challenges we faced during the match.”

“I think Ekitiqué was impressive during parts of today’s game. The goal he scored was a good one, and there were many moments when I thought ‘wow.’ That’s why we wanted him. Beyond his goal, it’s great to see him and others who joined in the summer developing.”

“As for Florian Weatz, the way he controls the ball and his comfort with it—I believe he is one of the players I say is steadily improving. He is getting stronger. The hard work all the players have put in over the past few months is starting to pay off.”

Later, Klopp was asked if Salah would remain with the team. Klopp replied, “I think you already know the answer. What we discuss between us stays between us. And I think what you see is what you know—that he is in the team and is my first substitute.”

“I think he is a dangerous player. He is constantly involved in creating our play. On the first ball he touched, he nearly assisted McAllister. Then he got an assist from a corner and almost scored himself. It’s good to see him on the pitch causing problems for opponents. It’s pleasing to see that.”

This victory moved Liverpool up to 6th place in the standings, just 2 points behind the top four.
