Liverpool, the prestigious English club, has officially confirmed that their expensive striker Alexander Isak was injured following a heavy tackle by a Tottenham Hotspur player.
On 23 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Liverpool, the famous Premier League club led by Dutch manager Arne Slot, issued a statement confirming that Swedish striker Alexander Isak suffered an injury after a heavy challenge from Mickey van de Ven of Tottenham Hotspur in their recent league encounter.
The Anfield club stated that Alexander Isak, signed for £125 million (approximately 5.254 billion baht), sustained a broken shinbone and required ankle surgery. The medical team decided to operate immediately. The surgery was successful, but Isak will undergo a lengthy rehabilitation process with no definite return date, expected to take several months.
Alexander Isak, 26, has scored only 3 goals for his new club Liverpool since transferring from Newcastle United, also known as the Magpies, late in the transfer window.
