Who’s Ready, Who’s Out? Klopp Updates Liverpool Injury Status Ahead of Home Match Against Wolverhampton

Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool’s head coach, has updated the squad's readiness ahead of the Premier League home game against Wolverhampton this Saturday, delivering both bad and good news for Reds supporters.

On 23 December 2025 GMT+7, Klopp provided an injury status report on Liverpool players ahead of the Premier League match at Anfield against Wolverhampton, scheduled for Saturday at 22:00 GMT+7.

Liverpool will definitely be without Alexander Isak, who underwent surgery this past Monday and is expected to be sidelined for 2-3 months. Meanwhile, Wataru Endo and Joe Gomez remain unavailable due to fitness issues.

Conor Bradley and Cody Gakpo are still doubtful, with their fitness to be assessed until the last moment. Klopp said both have a “50-50” chance of playing.

“Conor is currently 50-50. He hasn’t trained with us today or tomorrow, so by Friday we’ll know clearly whether he’ll be ready for the weekend’s game,” Klopp said.

“Joe is not ready, Wataru isn’t either, and Cody’s situation is similar to Conor’s.”

However, the Dutch coach confirmed good news regarding key playmaker Florian Wirtz, who is fit and available for selection in this match.

“Yes, he is ready to play. He’s another example of a player who needs consistent game time and is adapting better and better to the Premier League.”

“In an ideal world, I might want to rest him more, but he will be ready to help the team again on Saturday.”

Liverpool aims to secure three important points at home amid ongoing injury challenges that require careful squad management.
