Andre Onana shares his very good life after moving on loan from Manchester United to guard the goal for Trabzonspor.
On 25 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Andre Onana, former first-choice goalkeeper for Manchester United "The Red Devils" two seasons ago, transferred last summer to Trabzonspor in the Turkish top league on a loan deal until the end of the season without a purchase option. He revealed that he is currently experiencing the best time of his life, despite not being selected for Cameroon's national team to compete in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Onana said, "I am very happy. You can believe me, I’m having the best time of my life. I have no complaints. I’m very happy to be here."
"Sometimes when I’m driving, fans cut in front of me to say, 'Onana, stop the car, I want to take a photo.' I think to myself, 'Sure, but maybe you could ask in another way...' But when fans see me, they are happy, and I feel happy too."
"At first, it was difficult. The lifestyle here is different, but now I understand. The fans are my people. I love them."
"The fans in Turkey have incredible passion, which is amazing and impressive. You can’t explain it unless you come here yourself."
In the first half of the Turkish league season, Andre Onana has guarded the goal for Trabzonspor in 13 matches, keeping 3 clean sheets and conceding 19 goals, helping the team hold third place.
