"The Red Devils" Manchester United are reportedly preparing to sign a winger valued at £87 million to join their squad.
TalkSport, a British media outlet, reported that Premier League giants Manchester United are considering acquiring Ivorian international winger Yann Diomandé from RB Leipzig to Old Trafford this coming January.
Nineteen-year-old Diomandé has shown impressive form this season, scoring 7 goals and providing 4 assists in 16 appearances across all competitions. Meanwhile, Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim is searching for new attacking talent after key target Antoine Semenyo, Bournemouth's winger, chose to join Manchester City.
Recent reports indicate Manchester United are highly interested in Diomandé and may submit an offer to sign him as early as January.
Currently, Diomandé is representing the Ivory Coast national team in the Africa Cup of Nations alongside fellow Red Devils player Amad Diallo.
Diomandé's contract with RB Leipzig runs until 2023, and the club has valued him at as much as £87 million.
Although Manchester United have already signed attackers Mateus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko, manager Rúben Amorim aims to bolster squad depth and is ready to enter the transfer market again. A key factor for this deal to happen is Diomandé’s clear desire to join the Red Devils.
