The remarks came at a time when players were already trying to block out external criticism, especially from former players turned pundits, which only added more pressure on the team.
Eriksen told The Sunday Times, "It didn't help at all. Yes, it didn’t help even a little bit. I just don’t think saying that helps the players in any way."
