Ligue 1 club Metz announced that 19-year-old rising star Tahiris Dos Santos was among the unfortunate victims seriously injured in a severe fire at the upscale bar Le Constellation, located in the ski resort town of Crans-Montana, Switzerland, during New Year’s celebrations.
Reports state the fire occurred at 01:30 on Thursday, 1 Jan 2026 GMT+7, resulting in as many as 47 deaths.
Although Dos Santos survived, he sustained severe burn injuries. The total number of injured from the incident reached 115.
