Liverpool, known as the "Reds," is reportedly in contention to sign a champion-caliber player valued at 100 million euros to strengthen their squad.
Spanish sports outlet Sport reported that Real Madrid, the La Liga giant, is considering selling Brazilian forward Rodrigo if they receive a 100 million euro offer, amid rumors linking him to Liverpool.
The 24-year-old Rodrigo has made it clear to his personal agent that he wants to leave Real Madrid. He has been pushing for a move since last summer, but it ultimately did not materialize.
Recently, Rodrigo has been seeking a new agent to help realize his transfer ambitions, aiming to step out from the shadows of Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior and prove himself as a world-class striker. The English Premier League is seen as the most likely destination.
Coincidentally, Liverpool is looking for a new attacker after Alexander Isak suffered a long-term injury with an indefinite recovery period. Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah's future remains uncertain, making Rodrigo a key target for the Reds after they missed out on signing Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, who appears set to join Manchester City.
Currently, Liverpool sits fourth in the Premier League, 12 points behind leaders Arsenal. They may pursue additional signings in January, and Real Madrid is prepared to sell Rodrigo if a 100 million euro bid is made.
Besides Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with Rodrigo.
