Several Teams Drop in Ranking: Supercomputer Predicts Latest Premier League Champion After Matchday 20

Several teams have dropped in ranking as the "Supercomputer" predicts the latest Premier League title favorites after matchday 20.

On 5 Dec 2026 GMT+7, Opta, football statistics experts, revealed the latest supercomputer prediction of the team most likely to win the 2025-26 English Premier League after all 20 teams completed matchday 20.

Latest Premier League standings (top 6 positions):

1. Arsenal – 48 points

2. Manchester City – 42 points (goal difference +26)

3. Aston Villa – 42 points (+9)

4. Liverpool – 34 points

5. Chelsea – 31 points (+11)

6. Manchester United – 31 points (+4)

The latest Opta supercomputer calculation shows Arsenal, the league leaders, remain the clear favorite to win the Premier League with increased chances of 85.22% (previously 79.0%), while second-favorite Manchester City's chances have dropped to 10.49% (previously 16.7%).

Meanwhile, dark horse Aston Villa, still close to the top, ranks third with a 4.17% chance (previously 4.2%). Liverpool, in fourth, has just a 0.11% chance (unchanged).

3rd: Aston Villa – 4.17%
