Gabriel Martinelli, Arsenal's attacking player, has responded following a controversial incident where he pushed a Liverpool player off the pitch in the most recent game.
On 9 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Gabriel Martinelli, the Brazilian winger for the "Gunners" Arsenal, posted a confirmation that he has reached out to apologize to Conor Bradley, Liverpool's defender, after pushing the injured Liverpool player off the sidelines.
During added time in the Premier League match, where Arsenal hosted Liverpool and the game ended 0-0 last Thursday night, Conor Bradley, Liverpool's full-back, went down injured on the pitch. However, Martinelli pushed the ball towards him and then pushed Bradley off the field, believing the Liverpool player was trying to waste time. It later turned out Bradley was genuinely injured.
Recently, Martinelli posted on his social media: "I have messaged Bradley and apologized to him. I truly did not know he was seriously injured during such an intense moment in the game."
"I want to say I am very sorry for my reaction. I send my best wishes for Bradley’s speedy recovery."
As a result of the draw, Arsenal picked up only one point, bringing their total to 49 points, but they still lead the Premier League table by 6 points ahead of second-place Manchester City.
