Rumors are rife that Manchester United players have already chosen a new head coach, following news linking the club to three well-known managers.
Manchester United, the Premier League giant, is currently seeking an interim manager to lead the team until the end of this season. The candidates rumored include Ole Gunnar Solskjær, Michael Carrick, and Ruud van Nistelrooy. Meanwhile, Darren Fletcher is temporarily managing the squad.
According to the latest report from Andy Mitten, a journalist at The Athletic, many Manchester United players admire and want Ruud van Nistelrooy to return as interim manager. They were impressed by their previous collaboration and believe van Nistelrooy has the character to lead the team to success.
"Boss Ruud" previously served as interim manager after Erik ten Hag was dismissed, leading the team to three wins and one draw in four matches, remaining unbeaten. His team played an exciting attacking style. However, he did not continue until season's end, stepping aside for Rúben Amorim.
Currently, Manchester United's board is seriously considering a new interim manager to take over from Darren Fletcher, with van Nistelrooy among the candidates.
Mitten added that the club's board regrets not allowing van Nistelrooy to manage the team through the season and feels it was a mistake to quickly appoint Amorim permanently, as he failed to improve the team, leading to their eventual separation.
