Worse Than Expected: Liverpool Confirms Latest Bad News Impacting Remainder of Season

Worse than initially thought, Liverpool confirms the latest bad news affecting the remainder of this season.

On 11 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Liverpool, currently fourth in the English Premier League, announced that Conor Bradley, the Northern Ireland right-back, must undergo surgery to treat a knee injury sustained in their recent 0-0 draw away at Arsenal.

Liverpool's statement said, "The club wishes to inform that Conor Bradley has suffered a serious knee injury. The right-back was injured late in the Premier League away match against Arsenal last Thursday night."

"Bradley will undergo surgery in the coming days, followed by rehabilitation at the AXA training center. Currently, there is no set timetable for his return to play."

Meanwhile, The Athletic, a leading British media outlet, revealed troubling news for Liverpool: Conor Bradley's condition is concerning, with the right-back’s knee injury severe enough to potentially keep him sidelined for the entire season.

Although scans eased fears of a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), they showed significant damage to the bone and ligaments in his left knee, likely ruling him out for the rest of this season for Liverpool.
