Slot said, “Regarding Kerkez, I strongly agree; he played well again. I saw Florian Wirtz score another excellent goal, and he was involved in many key moments. Jeremy Frimpong also played well again, posing a significant threat down the right side.”
“But the result does not always reflect progress, which is another disappointment because it is difficult for players to feel we are improving if results don’t go our way. Of course, we can now talk about a 12-game unbeaten run, but our standard is higher than just avoiding defeat. Our standard is to win every game.”
On the fans' disappointment: “Yes, in my view it’s not just boos but genuine disappointment. We are Liverpool playing against Burnley. We must credit them for their defensive play.
