The "Red Devils" Manchester United are reportedly holding urgent internal talks about acquiring this hardworking midfielder to reinforce their squad.
talkSPORT, a well-known sports media outlet, reported that the "Red Devils," Manchester United, the Premier League giant, have opened urgent internal negotiations regarding the signing of Wilfred Ndidi, former midfielder of the "Foxes" Leicester City, on a loan deal until the end of this season to Old Trafford.
It is believed that Michael Carrick, the interim manager of Manchester United, wants to strengthen the midfield to increase options for the remainder of the season in hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next season. They are focusing on players with prior Premier League experience, and the latest reports indicate that the player in question is Ndidi.
Manchester United has already begun discussions about signing Wilfred Ndidi during the winter transfer window, as Carrick desires. Currently, Ndidi plays for Beşiktaş in Turkey and recently played a key role in helping Nigeria reach the knockout stages of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ndidi, 29, is a high-energy midfielder known for breaking up play in the center of the pitch and quickly transitioning defense into attack. He played 220 Premier League matches with Leicester City, helping the Foxes win the 2020-21 FA Cup, the 2021 Community Shield, and the 2023–24 Championship title. He is now ready to return to play in England again.
Besides Ndidi, Manchester United has also received an offer to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek, a midfielder from AC Milan.
