Chelsea, known as the "Blues," is reportedly considering letting Cole Palmer join Manchester United, but only if one condition is met.
Teamtalk, a well-known football media outlet, reported that Chelsea, a Premier League giant, may consider selling English international attacking midfielder Cole Palmer to Manchester United this summer if they receive an offer of at least £150 million.
Previously, there were reports that Manchester United was interested in signing Palmer, followed by further news that the player misses home, his family, and friends in Manchester. Palmer is open to joining his favored club, Manchester United, and has no interest in returning to Manchester City as long as Pep Guardiola remains the manager.
However, the latest reports say that Manchester United acquiring Palmer from Chelsea will not be easy because Palmer's contract with Chelsea runs until 2033. Therefore, the only way Chelsea might consider letting Palmer go is if Manchester United submits an offer of no less than £150 million.
If a transfer worth £150 million does happen, Palmer would become the most expensive player in Premier League history, surpassing the £130 million Liverpool spent to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle last summer.
Jason Wilcox, Manchester United's technical director, has admired Cole Palmer since his time at Manchester City's academy and also wants to see Palmer wearing the United shirt.
