Halfway Through the Season, Manchester United Legend Comments on Seskos Underwhelming Form in Fans Eyes

Halfway through the season, the Manchester United legend has commented on Benjamin Sesko, whose form has yet to ignite excitement in the eyes of most fans.

On 31 Jan 2026, halfway through the season, Peter Schmeichel, the legendary goalkeeper of Manchester United, the renowned Premier League club managed by interim English coach Michael Carrick, commented on the new expensive Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko, whose performance has not yet met the high expectations of the majority of fans.

Peter Schmeichel said, "I believe he (Benjamin Sesko) will definitely improve, but we need to give him some time. Expectations are very high for him. He will surely become a better player. Recently, he has shown improvement in his movement, ball control, passing, and scoring—reflecting the qualities of a good striker. However, he needs to adapt and gain more experience, as well as build confidence, to elevate himself to a top-level player."

Benjamin Sesko transferred from RB Leipzig to Old Trafford with a total fee including options of €85 million, or approximately 3.121 billion baht. He has appeared in 20 matches for the team, scoring 5 goals and providing 1 assist.
