Trusting Paul Merson, the football guru, has made his choice on who Manchester United should select between Elliott Anderson and Adam Worthington to partner Kobbie Mainyu.
On 2 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Paul Merson, the renowned football expert, has decided who the "Red Devils" Manchester United, the famous English Premier League club, should choose between Elliott Anderson, midfielder of the "Forest" Nottingham Forest, and Adam Worthington, midfielder of the "Eagles" Crystal Palace, to partner Kobbie Mainyu.
Paul Merson spoke after praising Kobbie Mainyu's performance in the latest game where they defeated the "Cottagers" Fulham, regarding the midfield partner to replace Casemiro: "He (Kobbie Mainyu) has gotten more playing time, his consistency and confidence have increased. He plays well both offensively and defensively, especially the partnership with Casemiro, which looks very effective."
"If I had to choose between Elliott Anderson or Adam Worthington to replace Casemiro, I would pick Adam Worthington. I think this would be a very good partnership because the other player, Elliott Anderson, is similar to Kobbie Mainyu. It's like the England national team had Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard, who couldn't play together because they both wanted the same role on the pitch."
