A Manchester United fan stirred up trouble by holding up a number 46 sign, teasing Piyabutr, a campaign aide for the People's Party and a devoted Liverpool supporter.
On 3 Feb 2026 GMT+7, it became a viral humorous moment when Piyabutr Saengkanokkul, campaign aide for the People's Party (PChon) and a devoted "Red Reds" Liverpool fan, was campaigning in Nong Bua Lamphu province but was targeted by a "natural vote leader" who is a Manchester United fan.
The local United fan made a sign promoting the People's Party number 46 by displaying the latest Premier League standings, showing Manchester United in 4th place and Liverpool in 6th, held right in front of Piyabutr. Ice Rakchanok Srinok commented that it was a sharp jab.
In this event, Professor Piyabutr did not give up and replied softly but with hope, saying, "Today it's 46 like this, Sunday will be 46 like this, but with the positions swapped."
Currently, Manchester United, under interim coach Michael Carrick, is in strong form, winning three consecutive matches to reclaim 4th place and emerge as the fourth favorite to win their 21st championship, while defending champions Liverpool are in 6th place.
