Man Utd on the rise: "Carrick" reveals two pieces of good news before facing Spurs, aiming for 4th consecutive Premier League win.
On 6 February 2026, Michael Carrick, interim manager of Manchester United, revealed the latest team updates ahead of their 25th week Premier League home match against Tottenham Hotspur, scheduled for Saturday, 7 February.
Before kickoff, Man Utd is on a three-match winning streak since Carrick took charge, sitting 4th with 41 points, while Spurs have gone six Premier League matches without a win, occupying 14th place with 29 points.
Man Utd will miss three injured players: Mason Mount (muscle), Matthijs de Ligt (back), and Patrick Dorgu (hamstring). However, Carrick revealed that the first two are close to recovering and returning to help the team soon.
The interim manager spoke about Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt: "Mason should be ready to play sooner; he's really close to full fitness. We hope it won't take too long."
