On 15 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Benjamin Sesko, the Slovenian striker, revealed that he used to play as a goalkeeper for a local team in his home country before becoming a forward for the "Red Devils" Manchester United, the famous Premier League club led by interim English manager Michael Carrick.
Benjamin Sesko said, "When I was a child, my father was a goalkeeper, and I started playing in that position as well. I remember one match was very boring; I stood guarding the goal while my teammates played in front of me. I didn't like not being involved on the field. That led me to run out from the goal area several times to receive the ball from my teammates and score goals. That was an important turning point before I started moving to play as a defender, then advanced to forward around the age of twelve to thirteen. Since then, I have played as a forward up to today."
Benjamin Sesko transferred from RB Leipzig to Old Trafford last summer for a fee of 85 million euros, approximately 3.135 billion baht. He has been adapting and improving his performance steadily, currently scoring 7 goals and providing 1 assist in 23 appearances across all competitions.
