Manchester United has denied reports that it is interested in hiring Jürgen Klopp, former Liverpool manager, to lead the team.
On 17 Feb 2026 GMT+7, after Mark Kosicke, agent of Jürgen Klopp, told Transfermarkt that the 58-year-old coach still has two Premier League clubs interested in hiring him since leaving Liverpool two seasons ago.
"Previously, Chelsea and Manchester United inquired about the possibility of Jürgen Klopp taking charge, but Klopp made it clear that he will not manage any club in England again, although inquiries continue to come in," the agent said.
However, Sky Sports reported that a reliable source from Manchester United confirmed the rumors are false. During that period, United’s performance was poor, but they continued with Ruben Amorim for a while before replacing him with Michael Carrick.
Jürgen Klopp established a legacy over nine years (2015–2024) with the Reds, leading Liverpool to eight major trophies, including the Premier League (2019/20) and UEFA Champions League (2018/19), achieving a record win rate of 60.7% over 283 matches.
