Gary Lineker, the legendary former England striker, has confidently predicted the team that will win the English Premier League this season.
Gary Lineker, former legendary forward of the England national team, believes that "the Gunners" Arsenal will claim the 2025-26 English Premier League title, despite recently drawing 2-2 with Wolverhampton in their latest league match.
As a result of that draw, Arsenal leads second-placed Manchester City by just 5 points, having played one more match. However, Lineker does not think this result will end Arsenal's title challenge and believes the "Gunners" will ultimately overcome Manchester City to win the Premier League.
Lineker said, "Arsenal need to be braver. I know it's easier said than done, but they must stay composed and play with more aggression."
"They need to attack more, especially when they are leading, rather than easing off. Is this an attitude problem for Arsenal, or just a minor stumble that every team experiences at some point in the season?"
"I believe they will still win the title, but this draw could serve as a small wake-up call, prompting them to fix some issues to reach that goal. As for Manchester City, they are currently 5 points behind Arsenal and have a game in hand."
"The question is whether Manchester City can maintain the excellent form that led them to win four consecutive titles."
"I'm not sure if Manchester City are ready or capable of sustaining such consistent performance to catch up with Arsenal."
