Liverpool manager Arne Slot has announced the return timetable for their costly striker Alexander Isak, who has been injured since late last year.
On 20 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Arne Slot, the Dutch coach of Liverpool, the renowned Premier League club, revealed the comeback schedule for Alexander Isak, their record-signing striker, who has been sidelined due to injury since late last year.
Alexander Isak, who transferred from Newcastle United to Liverpool last summer for the staggering fee of £125 million (approximately 5.244 billion baht), initially had to adjust considerably to his new team.
However, just as his performance was improving, he suffered a leg fracture during the 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on 20 December. He underwent surgery on his ankle and fractured fibula, leading to several months of recovery. Initially, it was expected he would miss the entire season, but he has recovered faster and returned to ball training at the AXA Training Centre last week.
Recently, Arne Slot confirmed that Isak has resumed training with the ball, but this does not mean he is ready to compete immediately. He still needs time to regain full fitness and match sharpness to be at the required level with his teammates. His expected return to play is in late March or early April.
